Why Genlaxy charges per render instead of per month, how the balance works, and how to work out what a project will cost before you start.
Most AI generators sell a monthly plan with a bucket of credits that resets on renewal. That suits someone who renders every day. It is a poor deal for everyone else: you pay in the months you are busy with other things, and unused credits disappear.
Genlaxy works the other way round. There is no plan and nothing renews. You add money to a balance and each render is paid from it, at the price shown before you press Generate.
How the balance works
- Top up from €5.00 with PayPal (which also takes cards) or with crypto (USDC or USDT).
- Every render has a price, shown in euros in the composer before you generate. It depends on the model, the resolution and, for video, the length.
- Failed renders are not charged. If a model returns an error, the amount goes back to your balance.
- The balance does not expire while your account is open, and nothing is charged automatically.
What a render costs
Prices start at €0.30 for a Still Lite image and €0.40 for a Still image. Video is priced per clip: a 5-second clip starts at €2.00 on Motion Lite and €6.30 on Motion Turbo. Higher resolutions and longer clips cost more, and the composer always shows the exact figure for the settings you have chosen.
The pricing section on the home page shows every model's rate side by side, along with a rough count of how many renders a top-up buys.
Estimating a project
A useful habit is to budget for exploration separately from finals. Exploration is where most renders go: trying prompts, frames and styles. Do it on the cheaper models and lower resolutions. Once you know what you want, render the few finals on the stronger model at full resolution.

Who pay-per-render suits
- People who need images or clips for a project now and then, not every day.
- Teams that want to know the cost of a piece of work before starting it.
- Developers calling the API, which draws from the same balance - no separate plan.
If you do generate heavily every day, a flat plan somewhere else may work out cheaper. For everyone else, paying only for what you render is simpler and usually costs less.
